Mr. Ernest Hazelwood of Lawrence, MA., was called home on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Lawrence General Hospital. He was born April 9, 1954 in Petersburg Virginia to the late Stanley and Rebecca (Uzzel) Hazelwood.

Ernest was preceded in death by his son D’jen Thomas; four brothers, Linwood Hazelwood, Stanley Jr. Hazelwood, Jimmie Uzzle, and Leon Hazelwood and nephew Adonis Hazelwood.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla Hazelwood of 37 years, his sons Ernest Depradine, Gerome Hazelwood of Lawrence, MA as well as his daughter, Kalia and husband Mcnicholl Delia of Methuen, MA; Siblings Lewis Hazelwood (Laverne) of Framingham, MA, Alice Najjar (John) of Hyde Park, MA., Claude Hazelwood (Sylvia) and Charlotte Robertson (Rodney) both of Petersburg, VA., Mother-in-law Victoria Thomas; Father-in-law; Jimmy Jackson; Sister-in-laws, Carla Thomas, Sandra Thomas, Sheila Thomas (Christopher), Aisha Thomas (Elgin) and Elaine Singh.

Also among his survivors are his six grandchildren, Jared, Katherine, Terrance, Saniya, Jasmine, Ernest Jr. and Janiyah. as well as his one great grandchildren Kelianis and Von. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 27th at 12 noon at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway Methuen. Family and friends may call from 10AM until noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
