Dorothy G. Dumont, 93 of Methuen passed away on Monday February 27, 2017 at the Nevins Nursing Center, Methuen.  Mrs Dumont was born, raised and educated in Lawrence and has lived in Greater Lawrence for most of her life.  Dorothy spent many happy years at Cedars apartments in Methuen enjoying the company of her friends.  Her family would like to extend their gratitude to her friends and staff at the Nevins for their kind and compassionate care extended to her during her stay.

The widow of Maurice H. Dumont, her family members include her daughters, Barbara A. and her husband, Alfred Dagata of Methuen and Beverly and her husband, Dean Avery of Salem, NH.  She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Joanne, Jackie and Emma as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Raineri and her brothers, John and Robert Tacy and Gene and Joe Donnelly.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday March 3, 2017 from 10 to 11 am at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nevins Nursing Center, 10 Ingalls Court, Methuen, MA. 01844.
