Dezilda M. Bergeron

 On September 25, 2017, Dezilda M. Bergeron of Methuen was called to her heavenly home.  Dezilda  was 100 years old and was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Eliza Morin.  She attended Sacred Heart School in Lawrence and in 1936 she married Roland J. Bergeron and together they lovingly raised seven children.  Dezilda was a member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut, MA.  She had a deep faith and child-like trust in Jesus her savior and a special devotion to the Virgin Mary that enabled her to accept life and its many challenges with remarkable calmness.  She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothing for her children and grandchildren.  She loved the mountains of New Hampshire, crossword puzzles, Scrabble, card games and lively music like polkas.

Her family members include her seven children, Roland and his companion, Jeannine Francoeur of Pelham, NH, Claire of Seabrook, NH, Monica Bedard of Pelham, NH, Joseph and his wife, Janice of Methuen, Maurice and his wife, Karan of Lawrence, Pauline of Methuen and Jack and his wife, Kathleen of Methuen.  She also leaves her sister, Pauline Bell of Salisbury, MA and her brother, Arthur and his wife, Beverly of East Kingston, NH.  Dezilda has 22 grandchildren, 47 greatgrandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Loretta Guerin, Frances Laflamme, Emilienne Lafreniere, Leona, Eva, Bertrand and George.

Dezilda’s family would like to thank Fr Roland Lacasse and the staff at Merrimack Valley Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to their mother.

There are no calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:30 am in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, MA. Family and friends are asked to kindly meet directly at the church.  Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery, 49 Marsh Road, Pelham, NH.  Memorial contributions may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St, Lawrence, MA. 01843, Attn: Development Office or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are by The Charles F.
