David Lebrun, 58, of Newburyport, died peacefully after a brief illness Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at home with his family and friends by his side.

David was born and raised in Methuen, the son of Ann and Robert Lebrun.

David was the loving father of his two wonderful sons, Andy and Sean.   David was the eldest brother to Mark Lebrun and was the caring and loving uncle to Mark’s daughter Karen Lebrun.

David was a Senior Quality Manager at MKS Instruments in Andover, MA.  While an engineer by day, David’s passion was as an accomplished artist.  His distinct art was displayed at the Newburyport Art Association and many works reside in private collections.  David was an avid hiker and loved fun and adventure. 

David is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Joanne as well as his brother and sister-in-law Mark Lebrun and Jan Blute of Methuen.  David is also survived by his father Robert, his loving sons Andy and Sean as well as his loving niece Karen.  David was admired by all those he touched as a mindful friend and mentor.

ARRANGEMENTS:  Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 2-5 PM at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway in Methuen, MA.  A celebration of David’s life and artworks will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2-5PM at St. John’s Church Celebration Hall, 705 Hale Street in Beverly Farms, MA.  Family and friends are invited to this celebration.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s honor can be directed to the Essex Art Center, 56 Island Center, Lawrence MA 01840 (http://essexartcenter.org/donate).
