Welcome to the memorial page for

Dana James Hoyt

September 20, 1963 ~ July 6, 2017 (age 53) 53 Years Old

After a long and courageous battle, early Thursday morning Dana went to Heaven while holding the hands of the ones he loved. He was born and raised in Lawrence, Ma where he met the woman he would marry and start a family with. He spent three years in the U.S. Army where he got to travel the country and was stationed in the beautiful Washington state.

Dana made many wonderful memories with his family while boating on the Merrimack River, camping and fishing at Salisbury state beach, and taking trips to the White Mountains. One of his joys was gardening with his children, and the pride he got from watching his vegetables grow.

He was an employee at Analog Devices for 29 years where he was loved by his co-workers. He had a strong work ethic and worked until the very end.

Dana will be sadly missed and leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 31 years Laurie (Despres) Hoyt, his children Amanda Hoyt (who carries on his adventurous spirit and love of meeting new people), Dereck Hoyt (who has his sense of humor and storytelling abilities), Ashlenn Hoyt (who has his strong will and intelligence), and Mathew Hoyt (who carries on his thoughtfulness and Mr. fix it skills).

He also leaves behind his mother Jacquelyn Donoghue, father James Hoyt and wife Roberta, sister Deborah McCaffery and her husband Mike, sister Deirdre Hoyt and her partner Gary Hansis, and brother Davin Hoyt. His aunt Maureen Boudreau, his god daughter Corinne Campiola, and Joshua and Erin Salvas and their two children. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, sister in laws, and brother in laws who he loved dearly. He was pre deceased by his grandparents Raymond and Marie Bergeron, and his mother in law who he lovingly called “Gussy,” who we know was there to embrace him and take him home.

We will forever hold you in our hearts until we meet again.
