Cynthia Sheehy of Hampstead, NH died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Holy Family, Hospital, Methuen after a long, brave battle with lung cancer. Cindy was the daughter of the late Frances (Perry) Lavallee and the late John Perry. 

She was born and raised in Lowell, Ma. and graduated from Lowell High School in 1959. Cindy earned her nursing degree while raising her children. Cindy worked for many years at Tewksbury State Hospital. She was a passionate advocate for the patients that she served.

Cindy leaves behind two daughters, Diane Sheehy of Roslindale, MA and Deborah Kodesh of Derry NH. She also leaves a son, Paul Sheehy and his wife, Christine of Fall River, MA. She was the beloved grandmother to Abebe Ticktin, Jennifer Neuman, Jamie Dagwan and several great-grandchildren. 

Cindy also leaves her aunt, Mary P. Seman of Andover MA, her nephew, Scott Downs of Derry NH, cousins, and friends. 

Family and friends will be celebrating Cindy’s life on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. Visiting hours are from 10am to Noon followed by a graveside service and burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, 1251 Gorham Street, Lowell, MA .
