Beverly A. Hanson, 78 of Methuen, MA passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Prescott House in North Andover, MA with her family by her side. 

She was born at the Lawrence General Hospital where she successfully and happily completed 54 years of service before retiring.   She enjoyed many trips around the country and spending time with family and friends. 

She was a longtime resident of Methuen and North Andover, MA and educated in the Methuen school system as a graduate of Tenney High School. 

She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Marion (Ripley) Patch.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Conte and her husband Leonard of Methuen, MA and his son Michael Conte of Haverhill, MA and a son Edward Hanson of Methuen, MA. 

Beverly was the eldest of three daughters, and is survived by her sisters Shirley Olson of Methuen, MA, Alice Engels of Seabrook, NH and her best friend of 70 years, Maureen Donovan of Pelham, NH.  As well as several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the chapel at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A memorial service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prescott House, Resident Activity Fund, 140 Prescott St, North Andover, MA or to the MSPCA of Methuen, MA.
