Arthur W. Mann Jr., 84, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, after a brief battle with cancer. 

Arthur was born in Methuen on February 28, 1930 to the late Arthur W. Mann Sr. and Bertha (Edwards) Mann. On March 18, 1951, Arthur married Geraldine Hohlfelder with whom he had two children. Arthur served in the US Army and would later work for Eidams, Raytheon Reid Meredith Inc., and more recently, the Lawrence Savings Bank where he was both the maintenance and messenger supervisor. 

Arthur was a member of the First Calvary Baptist Church, Lawrence, and the Forest Street Church, Methuen. In the summer, Arthur and wife Geraldine enjoyed escaping to their summer home on Silver Lake.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine A. Mann, of Methuen; a son, Douglas Mann, of Pelham, NH, and his wife Sheryl; a daughter, Dorothy Gallagher, of Derry, NH, and her husband John; grandchildren, Jack Mann, Tiffanie Green of Indiana and Steven Gallagher of Derry, NH; as well as several great grandchildren. 

Friends and loved ones are invited to call on Thursday, February 26, from 6:00-8:00pm, at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, February 27, at 10:30am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery.
