Alice M. (Shaw) Zacharias, 91, of Methuen, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Nevins Nursing Center, Methuen.

Mrs. Zacharias was born, raised, and educated in Lawrence. Alice was a stay at home mother, who raised 4 children of her own, and babysat several others. Once her children were grown and on their own, she worked at the Berkeley Retirement Home for several years.

Alice was an identical twin, and the last living survivor of her family of 10 children. She is survived by her children; Frances L. and her husband, James Riche, Alice A. and her husband, George Tombarello, Edmund H., III and his wife, Dolores Zacharias, David A. and his wife, Gloria Zacharias, as well as nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
