Alberta La Creta

October 27, 1935 ~ June 30, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Alberta R. La Creta, of Salem, NH died peacefully surrounded by her family early morning June 30, 2016, at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. Alberta was born on October 27, 1935 in Medford, Massachusetts to Kathryn and John "Jack" White.

Alberta is survived by her husband of 58 years John J. La Creta of Salem, NH. She was the proud mother of her six beloved children, their spouses and five grandchildren; Steven and Gail La Creta, Susan and Russell Daley, John and Jeannie La Creta, Scott and Nicole La Creta, Sherri La Creta, James La Creta and Lisa La Rosa, and her grandchildren; Stephanie La Creta, Allison La Creta, Christopher James "C.J." La Creta, Nicholas La Creta and Kylee La Creta.

Her main interests in life were her family, her unshakable faith and her concern and sincere love for all humanity. She touched uncountable lives with her razor sharp wit, omnipresent unique gentle sense of humor and genuine concern for the welfare of others. For example, each of her final caregivers expressed to her family what a joy she was and acknowledged that she was indeed special. The positive effect on all those she encountered remained her most valuable virtue to the very end.

She remained the most dedicated, devoted and caring mother imaginable up to her final moment. In fact, as her condition worsened and she realized the inevitability of her situation she typically, characteristically and stubbornly refused to succumb to her fate until she had her entire family assembled and present so that she could call out each and every family member, by name, for a final goodbye. The family has no doubt that she left this world at peace with her family, God and herself.

A memorial service will be held at Saints Mary & Joseph Church, formerly, Mary Queen of Peace, Salem, NH on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00am.

Condolences may be forwarded to: John M. La Creta, 26 Playhouse Circle, Hampton, NH 03842. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.goundreydewhirstfuneral.com or www.dewhirstfuneral.com
